"WAIT, WORRY, WHO CARES?" - IN DEPTH: SEASON ONE
~Nearly everyone has their favorite season of MillenniuM. Whether it be S1's exploration of human evil - with its many bubbling supernatural undercurrents, S2's more mythological and spiritual journey or S3's powerful, bold Frank Black- centric storylines of fear, paranoia, desperation and ultimately redemption. And then there are those of us who love the entire run of the show for its 3 very distinct, challenging seasons. Whatever the case may be, these 3 forums are for more season specific discussion and analysis. Reviews of individual episodes, or the seasons' mytharc, are welcome and encouraged for all 3 season forums. If there are enough reviews for each season we will add "Episode Review Library" - Child Boards for each of the season forums for archiving reviews for our future reference . . . and our future members. *********
1996 - 1997, EXEC PRODUCER: CHRIS CARTER. CHIEF WRITERS: C.C., TEDDY MANN, JORGE ZAMACONA, CHIP JOHANNESSEN. CHIEF DIRECTORS: WINRICH KOLBE, THOMAS J. WRIGHT, DAVID NUTTER.

THE CULT OF PERSONALITY (Cult Television, Film And Fiction)
|
 |
THE BLUE LIGHT OF A TV SHOW
Our forum specifically for the discussion of cult television shows throughout every era, past and present. The criteria for a cult series needn't be simply crappy ratings, obscure content and a 1 to 3 season run. So for the sake of this W3cultv forum, some of the basic criteria we'll employ for a cult television show would be non-mainstream subject matter, and or, a unique and visionary treatment and execution of more mainstream material. On those rare occasions when a ratings challenged but rabid cult television series explodes into the mainstream, like the "X-Files" or the original "Star Trek" its cult status needn't be stripped just because they caught lightning in a bottle during or after their original television run.
We all get the gist of what a cult television show is, and this is our forum to discuss and explore these unique and special shows that mean so very much to us.

HAUNT OF FEAR: SwEetIE's CINEMA SICKBAG
Welcome to SwEetIE's nasty little niche forum dedicated to, what else?, modern day, classic, or cult horror films. Discuss and analyze the genre and your favorite flicks. Provide DVD reviews and tell us when the latest and greatest in horror DVD is hitting the streets, but most of all, kick back and have some fun! Severed body parts, buckets of blood, well aged entrails - perhaps from someone you detest! - await you inside our little "Haunt Of Fear."
Sickbag not included.

REEL---to---REEL: CULT FILM
"Cult film" - can and very often does induce a passion and an excitement on par with anything in books, music and television. Independent film studios like "Lion's Gate", "Newmarket" and even "Mirimax", among others, are where most of the avante garde, risk taking and experimental films have been and are coming from. Wherever the source, whenever the era, cult/underground films are like mana from heaven to those of us who tire of the homogenized - demographics oriented - mainstream - "tentpole" crap that is continually shoved at us week in and week out. This is our forum for us film buffs to discuss cult film in general, as well as to provide recommendations and actual film and DVD reviews so others can share in our collective movie passions and obsessions!

"CULT - FICTION"
The expression "A home without books is like a body without a soul" is no doubt true for those of us who take our reading very seriously. There is a singular thrill in discovering a book that blows your mind or moves you deeply; this is the place to discuss these little known gems, no matter the genre, and their authors. REVIEWS WELCOMED AND ENCOURAGED!

THE SOUND OF SNOW- A Music Forum
Millions (yes, MILLIONS!) have been asking for a music forum here at w3cultv, so without further ado, well, here it is! This, THE SOUND OF SNOW, is our launch pad for delving into, discussing and even sharing the individual juke boxes of our individual brains. Doesn't matter the era, genre, sub- genre, sub-sub- genre may be, this is our little corner to delve into anything and everything to do with one of life's essentials: MUSIC.

"BABYL-ON": GENERAL CARNIVALE DISCUSSION
We reckon it could take millennia to discuss and dissect all the ins and outs of Carnivale. Its meanings, obvious or self - gleamed, the myriad interpretations of the Mytharc, the "blink - and - you - miss - it" details of characterization, and on and on like a never ending cornfield. This is a forum to put out your own theories about the show and its characters, the show and its thick tangle of mytharcs, the show and its personal, deeper meanings to you and discuss them with other fans. Of course this being a general forum for Carnivale discussion anything goes, really. So explore, but don't stray too far. Discuss, but not too loudly; for Brother Justin is just up the hill and I've heard tell that he can be a nasty little thing.

CARNIVALE - BOOK ONE, SEASON ONE: AVATARIC BLOODLINES
Ah, the begining of it all. We never really knew what the hell we were in for when this strange sounding show, Carnivale, premeired in 2003. As Daniel Knauf has stated, the first two seasons made up the first complete "book" of Carnivale. The purpose of this forum is for more in depth discussion of the individual episodes and for episode reviews themselves. As with the individual season "MillenniuM" forums, if the dedicated episode reviews get to a certain point then "child boards" will be added on to each season forum for archiving purposes. SHARE. DISCUSS. REVIEW. ENJOY!

CARNIVALE - BOOK ONE, SEASON TWO: THE RISE OF THE HOUSE OF USHER
After season one many of us thought we knew what to expect from Carnivale in terms of its characters and its pacing. With the supernova - like first episode virtually any and all preconceptions were rendered obsolete. The season roared out of the gate like an express train to hell and never slowed its pace, tension and bravado storytelling! This forum is for the further, deeper discussion of season two as well as dedicated episode reviews. Light up the kerosene lamp as there is plenty to explore, and even discover.
SHARE. DISCUSS. REVIEW. ENJOY.

THE CREATIVE CAROUSEL: DANIEL KNAUF AND HIS PRODUCTION TEAM
Not to be too obvious, but this forum is, yes indeed, dedicated to the discussion of Carnivale's behind the scenes creative team. From "the creator", Daniel Knauf, to the writers, producers, directors, director(s) of photography, hell even the editors, costume designers and set decorators; it took all of these people, and many many more, to bring Carnivale uniquely into our homes on those precious Sunday nights. How did they put it together? What did they do pre - Carnivale? What are they doing now? Let's thrash it about and see what we can come up with. This is intened to be a sort of valentine to the "entire" behind the scenes crew of Carnivale. I hope we can do these often times overlooked heroes of this very special show the justice that they mightily deserve!

THE PERFORMERS TENT: THE ACTORS OF CARNIVALE
As important and vital as the behind the scenes crew is, it took talented actors and actresses to bring everything to life. And what an ensemble cast the casting directors put together! This is your forum to discuss to your heart's content one or more of your personal favorite actors or actresses of Carnivale. Go into as little or as much detail as time allows. Find out what they've done in the past and will be doing in the future . . . then share it with us, the board! As with the creative side forum this is also intened as a sort of valentine to EVERY member of the intensely talented ensemble cast.
